Business Skills Workshops on ManageSmart Series (FULL)

Event: Business Skills Workshops on ManageSmart Series (FULL)
 

The framework of this ManageSmart programme is based on a world-wide staff engagement survey from more than 90,000 employees in 135 organisations. The survey analysed the engagement practices that impact staff commitment, which in turn increases performance. As the principal agent between the direct reports and the organisation, a team manager can enhance staff performance and commitment by reinforcing those effective engagement practices through their people management roles.

This ManageSmart training series aim to equip team managers with the practical people management skills to build a committed team with high performance

Programme Outline:

Module 1 – Team Relationship

  • Identify the factors for building a committed team with high performance
  • Recognise the Leadership Qualities of an effective leader
  • Apply the SUPER relationship guidelines to build trust with the team: Sharing / Understanding / Participation / Empowering / Respect

Module 2 – Four Coaching Styles

  • Identify opportunities for coaching
  • Apply the 4 levels of coaching appropriately based on: importance, urgency and complexity of the task and skills, knowledge and relevant experience of the staff
  • Apply the SARA Feedback Approach to give: positive feedback to reinforce effective actions and Improvement feedback to guide staff to identify alternative actions
