Experts Discuss On Financial Professionals in Challenging Times
"Financial Professionals in Challenging Times", the theme of ACCA Hong Kong Annual Conference 2009 draws together the experts and leaders from major corporations and academics at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre today. ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Hong Kong is honoured to have The Honourable Henry Tang Ying-yen, GBS, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration of The Government of HKSAR as the guest of honour of the event. Together with 14 respectable experts, they will share their insider views on the trend and challenges that accounting and finance professionals face nowadays.
The world economy is severely affected amid the global financial crisis. As a small, open economy and a global financial centre, Hong Kong is not immune to its impact. The demand for accounting and finance services has also been affected in different extents.
ACCA Hong Kong holds this conference with its theme "Financial Professionals in Challenging Times" which aims to help the audience gain insights into the future trend of the economy from the global perspective, understand whether the new accounting standards were the origin of the crises, acquire skills in sailing and surviving the storm and enhance awareness of risk management and realise the opportunities stemming from the Mainland China.
