Retaining High Performance Professionals in an Economic Downturn
"The high performance finance professional – global challenges and opportunities" is the theme of ACCA Managing Human Capital Conference Series 2009 which is held today. Bringing together employers from a range of sectors, this programme aims to explore the global challenges and opportunities organisations face in recruiting, developing and retaining high performance finance professionals.
In this conference, ACCA also presents the survey findings of the report "Crisis and Finance – The CFO's New Environment in Mainland China and Hong Kong". This survey was conducted by Economist Intelligence Unit for ACCA with 256 finance executives surveyed in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Through this survey, it reveals that the role of CFO has gained more importance today compared to a year ago.
