ACCA Annual Conference 2009

About the event
The world economy is in recession amid the eruption of the global financial tsunami. As a small, open economy and a global financial centre, Hong Kong is not immune to its impact. The demand for accounting services has been affected as interests in IPOs drop. However, some emerging economies are expected to outperform most developed economies and their weaker counterparts in the developing world. It is speculated that Mainland China will remain in the spotlight as the largest single growth driver in the Asian region.
ACCA Hong Kong entitles the theme of this year’s Conference "Finance Professionals in Challenging Times" which will be held on 27 June 2009. It aims to help the audience gain insights into the future trend of the economy from the global perspective, understand whether the new accounting standards were the origin of the crises, acquire skills in sailing and surviving in the storm, enhance awareness of risk management and realise the opportunities from the Mainland. This conference brings together prominent speakers and panel of experts to share with the audience their views and knowledge in these areas.
Who should attend
CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Financial Directors, Controllers, Executives from various business categories, and those who would like to learn more what the global challenges and opportunities that finance professionals and organisations have to face.
