Job-hunting is the first step to a successful career. The ACCA Job Hunting Competition aims to equip university undergraduates with soft skills employers are looking for, so as to enable students to move onto their career smoothly. The Competition is designed to simulate a real executive recruitment process in the business environment. Throughout different stages of the Competition, students are able to experience and enhance their job-hunting, communication and interpersonal skills. It is the first in its kind in Hong Kong to provide a platform to bridge the skills gap that employers required versus with that the students currently have.

In 2009, the Job Hunting Competition will be held in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chendgu respectively. The top 3 winners of the regional Job Hunting Competition in each of the 5 cities will take part in the Job Hunting Competition - China Grand Final held in Shanghai and compete for the Grand Championship.

All full-time non-final year undergraduate students in ANY discipline from 9 local universities including:

Chinese University of Hong Kong
City University of Hong Kong
Hong Kong Baptist University
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Hong Kong Shue Yan University
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Lingnan University
Open University of Hong Kong
The University of Hong Kong

and University of Macao in Macau are welcome to apply.

Application forms are also obtainable in ACCA Hong Kong, and respective accounting / business department offices, accountancy students' societies / business associations, as well as career centres of the stated universities.
