ACCA Careers 2006
The first ever ACCA Careers 2006 had been organised for ACCA members and students on 8 July 2006 at Kuala Lumpur. Apart from presenting various employment opportunities, ACCA Careers 2006 offered ACCA members and students the option to explore exciting career prospects and interact with prominent employers in Malaysia. En Abdul Rahim Abdul Hamid, President of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) officiated the event.
The career fair gathered participation from employers across varied sectors that not only showcased high-flying careers offered in the fast-growing fields of accounting and finance, but also demonstrated a broad range of career opportunities in their workplaces. The event, which generated overwhelming response from not only ACCA members and students but the public as well, received more than 2,300 participants.
Apart from that, ACCA Careers 2006 also provided a one-stop centre for Members’ Professional Development. In addition, students and members were also presented with the opportunity to participate and engage in a variety of activities that were organised in conjunction with ACCA Careers 2006, which included career talks and presentations by selected employers, workshops and seminars on CPD requirements, membership consultation and services, on the spot interviews, personality assessments, contests, lucky draws and many more.
